What exactly is it?

Intermission is halfway between an immersive theatre show and a spa treatment. Riptide are highly specialised in creating individual experiences for audiences and for Intermission the aim is to create something truly relaxing and centred on wellness.

What is the ticket information?

All tickets are £44 (plus £1 booking fee).
Dates: 23rd November - 23rd December (Wednesday-Sunday)

Booking is essential as capacity is limited each day

How long is Intermission?

The running time is 80 minutes.

You will book a session and have the start time. We ask you to arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of your start time to allow plenty of time to check in before your experience begins. 

Unfortunately due to the nature of the show, no late comers will be permitted.


Where is Intermission happening?

You can find the entrance to Intermission at 72 Merrion Street, Leeds. LS2 8LW.

This central Leeds city centre is well serviced by public transport with an array of bus stops outside and a short walk from Leeds Train Station. 

Car parks in the close vicinity include - Q-Park St Johns Centre / CitiPark Merrion Centre & First Direct Arena

Disabled parking bays can be found outside on Wade Lane or at Belgrave Street and Percival Street

Is Intermission accessible?

Yes, we have designed Intermission with the audience in mind, however, due to the nature of the show and location some treatments offered may vary in the experience.

Can I experience the show with someone else?

Intermission is designed as a solo experience.
You can meet up with others at the end of your session as all audience members finish at the same point

How will I know the time?

There is no need to worry about time, the hosts will guide you through the experience and be your timekeeper so you can relax and focus on yourself.

Why do I need to leave my bag and coat?

This is to ensure you will be comfortable are not encumbered whilst moving between spaces and during treatments.  Your belongings will be safely stored till you finish your session/appointment when they will be returned to you.

Can I still start the experience if I haven't completed the Pre-Show Questionnaire?

We ask everyone to complete the questionnaire before they begin so we know a little bit about you. Do not worry, if you haven't done so in advance, this can be filled in on arrival with the hosts at check-in.

Do I have to wear the slippers?

No, but we encourage you to do so.
It is a nice custom to separate the outside from the inside clearly. The benefits of taking off your shoes can relieve your feet and mind, helping you relax more.

What drinks will the bar sell?

There will be a variety of drinks available from fresh fruit juices to a selection of teas

What if I need the toilet or need to leave midpoint through the experience?

Just let one of the hosts know and they will assist you. We will do our best to get you back into the experience.

What happens if I don’t like one of the treatments?

All treatments are optional, you decide whether to engage or not. You can just watch and listen or participate at a level you feel comfortable with.

Am I allowed to film or take photos during the experience?

No filming or photography is permitted.

I have booked when will I get my ticket?

The booking confirmation email acts as your ticket. So just bring yourself on the day and the host will have your details at check-in.


I can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase. If you are no longer able to attend your session, you are welcome to pass them on to family or friends just please inform us as soon as possible so we can update all the booking details for their arrival - info@theriptide.co.uk
