Our work
Past riptides have taken us to rooftop bars, and underground libraries. From Leeds to the streets of Buenos Aires. In busy nightclubs, empty city streets, hotel rooms, on your phones and through your letterbox. A decade of work that still swirls.
The series
Lost Connections
Lost Connections is a series of socially engaged work which Riptide will create over the next 5 years.
We live in the loneliest, most-disconnected society in human history. It is through our artwork that we can find connection to ourselves, to our community and our surroundings.
49% of adults (25.99 million people) in the UK report feeling lonely occasionally, sometimes, often or always
Lost Connections is rooted in the ancient teachings of meditation, mindfulness and ritual, and infuses modern scientific research about connection. We want to engage people with in a new way by combining the experience with innovative uses of VR and AI technology.
